About the Opportunity
STEPS is looking for two new sales professionals to join the team as Business Development Officers, located in Townsville and Sunshine Coast, on a full-time basis.
The primary purpose of this role will be to build client relationships, identify recruitment opportunities, and negotiate and close current and future employment opportunities, in order to generate sustainable employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting for new employers by reverse marketing, networking, cold calling, and other means as required;
- Developing new ways to approach potential employers and encourage their association with STEPS, as well as retaining existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services;
- Identifying and presenting concepts for campaigns, services, and other innovative approaches that will lead to an ongoing funnel of employment opportunities.
- Maintaining extensive knowledge of the current labor market conditions and vacancy requirements; and
- Developing and maintaining a rapport with clients and providing support that will continually improves relationships.
STEPS are looking for someone to bring their creativity and passion to the recruitment industry and help their clients shine. To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have demonstrated experience in business development leading to measurable sales results, as well as extensive networking and account management experience.
Utilising your excellent communications skills (both written and verbal), you will be confident in developing true client partnerships and delivering excellent service, maintaining a focus on long-term outcomes. You will also possess well-developed negotiation and influencing skills, and a strong business acumen. A diploma-level qualification would be highly desired, but is not mandatory.
